The excited tone of a bubbly “HELLOOOOO!!!” met my ears as the La Paloma hotel room door swung open. Julie, the cutest bride you ever did see, was ready to get the show on the road for her wedding day! Through the consultation and timeline planning phone calls, Julie and Josh knew exactly what they wanted: To have fun with the people they loved and get straight to the first look. Julie was practically jumping out of her skin awaiting the moment we’d lead her to the first look location. As soon as she was set up, the videography team and I heard, “I’m coming for you, Flores!” and we scrambled to quickly capture our determined bride speed walking with a mission to embrace her husband. Josh was SO happy to see her and couldn’t stop smiling at his beautiful wife!
The day flew by as we captured their large bridal party, traveled to Arizona National Golf Club for the wedding ceremony, and walked around the venue to capture all the photo spots they had to offer these giggling newlyweds. Julie and Josh enjoyed cocktail hour with family friends, cut their cake and opened champagne with a sword (a story for a different time!) and boogied the night away to Josh’s favorite tunes (everyone was LOVING it!!) I’d say my first associate wedding day in Tucson was a success!
YCP Wedding Tip: Don’t sweat the little things, be willing to roll with it! Mishaps can happen on a wedding day and we immediately feel discouraged when things aren’t going the way they’re “supposed to,” but the most important thing is that you marry your person in front of the people you love most. What will you think back on the most when you pull out your wedding album? The accidental mixup that no one noticed, or the way you and your spouse only had eyes for each other on one of the happiest days of your lives?
